Infertility Treatment

IVF-ET (Test Tube Baby)

Vivekanand Fertility is one of the leading IVF centers in India. IVF procedure is done for those couples who have tubal blocks, severe endometriosis, unexplained infertility and those who have failed to conceive with conventional treatment modalities.

Intra Uterine insemination (IUI)

IUI is a method of introducing a quantity of washed and concentrated sperm directly into the uterus via a very thin flexible tube called catheter to increase the chances of fertilization. The purpose of IUI is to increase the number of sperms that reach the fallopian tubes & increase the chances of fertilization.

IUI is typically used for couples who have been trying to conceive for at least one year and who have no known reason for infertility or where the male partner may have low sperm count or where the conditions that make it difficult for the sperm to reach the egg.

It means deposition of a bolus of highly motile sperms in the uterine cavity at the time of ovulation,to improve the chances of conception. Usually the woman's ovaries are also simultaneously stimulated to produce 2-3 oocytes.

What are the Indications

• When the sperm count is less than 20 million/ml.(Oligospermia).
• Mild to moderate endometriosis.
• Unexplained infertility - When no cause for infertility is found.
• Immunological & Cervical factor infertility-When sperm antibodies are present.

What is the success rate of IUI

The chances of conception are fairly high through IUI,if patients are carefully selected.

Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)

ICSI is offered to those couples who have reduced sperm count or obstructive azoospermia. It is also reserved for repeated failed IVF cycles. In this procedure one sperm is injected into female egg to achieve fertilization. Our embryology team is highly experienced in this procedure and has achieved a very high pregnancy rate.

Blastocyst Transfer

Day 5 embryo transfer is offered to couples which helps them achieve higher pregnancy rate

Assisted Hatching

Frozen embryos or embryos with thick zona can be made to hatch with this technique. We offer assisted hatching to select patients.

Microsurgery of fallopian tubes

Microsurgery of fallopian tubes particulary the tubal reanastomosis in tubectomised patients. We have state of the art operating microscope for this purpose along with dedicated faculty.

Complete Infertility Workup

Complete infertility workup under one roof. Semen analysis using Makler's Chamber, sperm morphology with Pap's stain using Kruger's criteria, Transvaginal sonography of pelvic organs, sonosalpingography, follicular study, hysterosalpingography and other procedures.

Endoscopy Surgery

Video assisted laparoscopy gives us a panoramic view of the pelvic organs. We can simultaneously diagnose and treat the disease with minimal morbidity & shortened hospital stay.
